.:Dust Yourself Off And Try Again.:

I was listening to 'Try Again' and though to myself how about doing a vector illustration on Babygirl
'Aaliyah' and give Miss Minaj a break, was a good decision because I love the shape of her face. I loved doing this project, my favorite part was the hair and her lips they just looked so animated and on point, I was really proud of myself.

The skin of her face was the most difficult part, at first I could not get the shades right and, the left side of her face I think was blended in a bit better than the right. I tried and that's the best I could do. Her eyes were simple had no trouble doing them, the glasses and her hand were easy too.
The nose was a bit tricky too, I could have gone into more detail and fixed it, parts of it are darker.

Here is the original...

.:Elephant:.

I loved this project, I had so much fun doing it. I chose to to do the elephant because I had a whole idea for it, I love how in cartoons female elephants have these elegant eyes and I wanted to do that. I think the part I enjoyed the most was the ears and head. I wanted to be more creative and make my elephant look a little more...attractive than the original. I think I suceedeed in this because even though it looks like a demeneted cross between a man and female it has some humor to it.
I had some trouble doing the background, at first I had no idea what I was doing wrong because I would do the square fill it will color and it would be in front of everything, it took a day for me to realize that I was overlooking a small part to make it work but eventually I did and was so thrilled! My initial idea was to so a colored walkway or catwalk stage for the background but when I did do it, I didn't like how it look so I just stuck with the white simple catwalk stage, I mean it looks like that to me but I don't know it looks to other people.

.:Final Logo:.

Tada! Here is my final logo for my company; 'Empress Bridals'. I loved designing this logo it has me written all over it. I used this color scheme because the bridal logos I found on Google, had more of a softer, feminine color scheme to them. A lot of females love pink so I thought a light baby pink would be ideal for this logo. I had to readjust the oval so it was equal on all sides, I had to find another way to making the wedding dress white so I used the blob tool to accomplish that. I also had suggestion on the critique to change the font of the company name which was initially outlined in white, it was harder to see the name when zoomed out so I decided to remove the white Stroke style. It was also said that the transition between the veil and the B for bridal was not too smooth so I altered that a bit to make it seem like it was flowing into a B. I loved how it turned out though and am proud of it!

Below I included a rough sketch of the final logo in it's beginning stage.

.:Calligram:.

I decided to venture out a little and add some fun to this assignment, I got a picture of Nicki Minaj and made a calligram with it. It doesn't really look like the picture below but hey I tried and I enjoyed doing it too!
